The story

The story behind RewoodDesignSaar – and why everything deserves a second chance!

Behind RewoodDesignSaar lies not only the love of furniture – but also a very special story.
My faithful dog, Jozek, from the animal shelter, spent his last three years with me. He was already old, but always by my side – in the workshop, his gaze fixed on me and my work.

After his death, the "Didi chest of drawers" was created, named after his nickname. Its distinctive leg shape reminded me of his charmingly crooked gait—and thus it got its name.

Today, it stands for what is dear to my heart: second chances – for furniture as well as for animals. You don't always have to buy new, because often the best story lies in "used" items.

About me

Hello, I’m Valentina – the head, heart and hands behind RewoodDesignSaar.

I love breathing new life into old furniture and turning unassuming pieces into something special.
I am convinced that every piece of furniture deserves a second chance: With craftsmanship, an eye for detail, and high standards of quality, I transform worn-out, seemingly worthless pieces into unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.

Every piece of furniture passes through my entire hands – from the first sanding to the last brushstroke.
I combine traditional techniques with modern touches so that each piece not only looks beautiful but also has a personal touch.

With my work, I am taking a stand against the throwaway society.
I want to show that sustainability can also be stylish – and that furniture with history often has more charm than any new piece.

Anyone who buys from me gets more than just a piece of furniture – they get character, soul and passion.
A piece with a history that is now ready to write a new one for you.
